Craig Lefevre

Hi, my name is Craig Lefevre and I am an online marketing expert living near Wolverhampton in the UK. I am 40 years old at the time of writing and live with my partner and two children. Having been obsessed with computers and technology my whole life its taken me some time to find my true calling. Educationally I studied sociology and psychology at university and have also spent time training as a chef and working in and around one of my other passions, music.

While my educational background lends itself well to understanding the way people think and behave my first foray into working with computers was studying IBM RPG at college, part of the course afforded me a four week work experience working for Apple in Reggio Amelia in Italy. After deciding programming wasn’t particularly my passion I eventually was appointed head of email marketing for Co-op Travel in 2001, during this time I revolutionised their email marketing and increased rates of engagement and turnover by thousands of percent. Following on from this success I rapidly gathered expertise in content management, PPC, usability and search engine optimisation among many other skills; eventually achieving Google’s Adword professional status in 2004. Managing what began as a small team we doubled turnover and visitors year on year for 5 consecutive years, advocated and oversaw a major re-brand and spin-off multi channel high street venture and made Co-op Travel the dominant Co-operative travel brand in the UK. Following on from an independent report from online experts Greenlight my work was ranked 8th overall in the UK for travel this I was eventually appointed head of online.

My successes lead to my appointment as the head of online marketing for the society as a whole covering funeral, pharmacy, childcare, food and other businesses, playing a pivotal role in positioning the brand as a whole and growing each business.

In May of 2011 I took the decision to leave the society and work on a freelance consultancy basis and since then I have carried out work for several well known high street brands as well as smaller clients on many exciting and diverse projects. My current client list includes Lloyds Pharmacy, for whom I have increased revenue from PPC by more than 300% in the last 3 years as well as Thornton’s, carrying out a audit of their search marketing and advising on strategy. In addition to this I have retainers in place with several smaller clients for both strategic guidance as well as hands on management of SEO, PPC, social media and any other requirements they may have.

In addition to a depth of experience and expertise in a wide breadth of digital media marketing I’m able to bring fresh perspective and insight to any company brand or individuals online space. I’m just as comfortable in a relaxed and informal relationship with a small business or individual as delivering presentations to boards or committees.
